Rooted in the esteemed tradition of Shiwan ceramics, this handcrafted wall art piece honors the plum blossom, a revered symbol of perseverance and renewal. As part of our Four Gentlemen series, it captures the essence of resilience, as plum blossoms bloom defiantly in the cold of winter. Inspired by the elegant curves of begonia flowers, its sculpted form enhances the organic beauty of the design.
Skillfully kiln-fired, this artwork features a delicately hand-carved scene of blossoming plum branches, their intricate details standing in graceful contrast to the smooth ceramic surface. The outer frame is adorned with the signature Shiwan green glaze, its rich, jade-like hue providing a striking border that accentuates the warmth of the natural ceramic tones. Designed for both artistic display and functional use, the wall art includes an opening at the top, allowing for the arrangement of dried flowers. Entirely handmade, each piece is unique—while the theme remains consistent, no two patterns are ever identical.

*Note: There is a visible imperfection on the front edge, caused by flying debris during the wood-firing process in the dragon kiln. The area was glazed over during finishing. There are also several flaws on the side, including minor surface marks and glaze irregularities. The surface showcases a beautiful finish with rare metallic freckles, a natural result of the intense firing environment—making this a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
