About the Blue & White Rice Pattern Tableware Series
This series combines the classic blue and white underglaze decoration, rice grain (Linglong) piercing, overglaze enamel, and gilt detailing within a single piece.
Rice grain porcelain is defined by its small, evenly spaced openings pierced through the clay body. After glazing and firing, these openings become translucent, allowing light to pass through. Traditionally, this technique is paired with blue and white underglaze decoration.
The red overglaze enamel accents and a fine gilt rim add further detail to the traditional design, giving the pieces a more refined and distinctive finish.
Condition Note
Produced in the 1980s-1990s, these teacups may show minor imperfections such as small black dots, glaze variations, and kiln residue. These are typical characteristics of the period and do not affect functionality or overall appearance.
Care Instruction
Hand washing is recommended to preserve the design. Not suitable for microwave use.
