Lotus White Ribbed Gaiwan

A gaiwan - literally “lidded bowl” - is a traditional Chinese vessel used for brewing and drinking tea. This piece, made in Dehua using coarse clay, reflects a rustic and tactile character inspired by the wabi-sabi aesthetic.


Its surface is vertically ribbed for both texture and visual rhythm, while the glaze has a soft lotus white tone — a creamy off-white with warm undertones.


Compact and balanced, this 120ml gaiwan is ideal for solo tea sessions or gongfu-style brewing, offering a hands-on connection with the tea-making process.
